The Academy of Naples is one of the largest and most prestigious in Italy, a cultural asset, tangible and intangible heritage, a place of teaching, research, and production. An artistic and cultural center, it has always been present in the national and international arts scene. Historically, the academy offers educational programs dedicated to the study of visual arts and drawing, with courses in sculpture, painting, and decoration, which have been active since its foundation. Today, the educational offering includes departments of Visual Arts, Design and Applied Arts, Communication and Art Education, with 11 degree courses in Painting, Sculpture, Decoration, Graphic Design, Set Design, Restoration, Cinema and Audiovisual Arts, New Technologies in Art, Fashion Design, Communication Design, and Art Education. Always open to discussion and debate on the arts, the Academy of Naples has welcomed artists who have made the history of Neapolitan art in the second half of the 20th century as students and teachers. It is involved in numerous national and international projects on education and the dissemination of art in society.
